Black Bean Burgers

Black Bean Burgers

Makes 4 patties

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 (14 oz) can black beans, drained & rinsed
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon s.a.l.t. sisters Butcher’s Blend
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Bragg’s Amino’s
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup feta cheese, crumbles

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  

Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan, add beans red bell pepper, onion and garlic.  Sauté’ until beans are a bit dried out and vegetables soften.  

To a food processor or stand mixer add the bean mixture and the rest of the ingredients.  Pulse or stir all the ingredients until they come together. 

Divide mixture into 4 equal amounts and create 4 patties.

Place patties on a parchment paper or foil lined baking sheet.  Bake for about 10 minutes on each side.  

Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings…mayo, slice tomato, pickle slice and lettuce.
