We don’t want to hide the beauty of this lettuce under a store-bought dressing. Let’s elevate your go-to dressing with an incredible and buildable vinaigrette. The ability to control the fat-to-acid ratio in this dressing is crucial to having the salad of your dreams. The mayonnaise provides you a stable palette in which to build your vinaigrette off – so no need to fear you will “break” and ruin your dressing! Ingredients:
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1 TBSP whole grain mustard
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Pinch of s.a.l.t. Sisters Lemon Sea Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 head Boston lettuce, cleaned and separated into leaves
- 2 TBSP capers
Directions:
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, pressed garlic, whole grain mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, Lemon sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Whisk thoroughly until the vinaigrette is well combined.
- Leave whole or break the Boston lettuce leaves into smaller pieces and divide them onto serving plates. Drizzle the prepared vinaigrette over the lettuce leaves. Sprinkle the salad with capers.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
