The gorgeous matte green color of this sea salt comes from organically-grown bamboo leaf extract, which also lends a remarkable nutty flavor.  This authentic Hawaiian sea salt is harvested from the pristine ocean waters surrounding the island of Molokai and blended with only the finest ingredients, resulting in exquisite taste and an unmatched mineral content.

Recipe

Uses:  Perfect for Asian-inspired cooking and seafood dishes.  Also delicious sprinkled on deviled eggs, fresh salads and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients:  Unrefined sea salt and organically-grown bamboo leaf extract

Roasted Asparagus

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus
  • EVOO
  • 1 tsp s.a.l.t. sisters Green Bamboo Ka'nani Hawaiian Sea Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400°.  Break off the tough ends of the asparagus and, if they're thick, peel them.  In a large bowl. drizzle the asparagus with EVOO and sprinkle liberally with Green Bamboo Sea Salt and black pepper.  Toss until asparagus are well-coated.  Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 25 minutes, until tender but still crisp.
