Ingredients:
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 TBSP butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 large cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 1 tsp s.a.l.t. sisters Chile Lime Salt
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Juice and zest of 1 lime
- 2 TBSP fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the rice and s.a.l.t. sisters Chile Lime Salt . Sauté the rice for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice is tender.
- Just before serving, stir in the juice of 1 lime, the zest of 1 lime, and the cilantro.
