How does shipping work?

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes! We ship to several countries beyond the U.S.

What shipping materials do you use?

We use recyclable cardboard boxes or poly mailers to ship your purchases. Our shipping materials collapse easily for recycling.

Do you store my payment information?

No. All credit card information is processed securely by Shopify Payments. Salt Sisters does not access and cannot store your credit card information. The last four digits of your card are retained in compliance with the terms and conditions of the issuer. 

In addition to all major credit cards, we also accept PayPal. Orders are charged in full at the time of purchase. 

What is your return policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Why isn’t my promotion or discount code working?

If you’re using a discount code from one of our emails, be sure to check the rules of use and minimum purchase requirements as detailed in the email.

If you’re trying to use a code from a third-party marketing site, keep in mind that those services often share false or expired discount codes to lure you in and get your shopping data to sell to other retailers. Sometimes they share valid discount codes, but more often than not, these sites operate primarily to harvest data.

Where can I find information about allergy concerns and ingredients?

What’s the best way to store spices? 

To keep your spices fresh and flavorful, store them in airtight containers – our jars and bags work perfectly when sealed properly. Air, heat, and light are the biggest culprits in degrading spices, so aim for a cool, dark spot like a cabinet or drawer. Pro tip: avoid storing them above the stove. The heat can zap the essential oils that give your spices their bold flavor, and nobody wants that!

Why are my spices clumping/caking?

We skip the anti-caking agents to keep our products pure and flavorful – and to avoid unnecessary additives! Slight clumping is totally normal and a small trade-off for better-tasting spices. If your spices clump in a jar, simply use a spoon or fork to break them up. For spices in a bag, give it a little massage before opening to work out the clumps. Easy, natural and just as delicious!

How are the blends packed?

Our products come in glass jars, as well as resealable bags and tubes.

Do spices expire?

Not exactly! Spices don’t spoil in the same way fresh food does, but they can lose their flavor and color over time because their natural oils (the source of all those aromas and flavors) gradually evaporate. For the best flavor, we recommend using our spice blends within 12 to 18 months of opening. If they’re older, they’re still safe to use, but you might need a little extra to pack the same flavorful punch. 

Our blends are handcrafted in small batches, so you can rest assured that what you buy from us is fresh and ready to bring bold flavor to your kitchen!

Can I add items to/change items in my order?

Since we do not retain your payment information, for your online security, we are not able to add items to an existing order. You can place a new order for the items you wish to add. If you are looking to remove items for a refund, please contact us at customerservice@saltsisters.net.

Can I buy in wholesale quantities?

Thank you for considering Salt Sisters as a wholesale spice provider for your business. We offer quantities as large as you need and also offer discounted pricing for our wholesale account holders.
