Passionate Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Passionate Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Two-ingredient recipes don't get better than chocolate-covered strawberries. Sweet, crunchy, smooth, and refreshing – I'm a huge fan of these classics with a twist. You know I couldn't resist adding a little s.a.l.t. sisters flair, so we've spiced up this recipe with a fun pinch of our Dragon's Breath Rub & Seasoning! We don't add enough to overpower, but it adds just the right balance of sweet and heat to the chocolate.
Strawberries are at their sweetest and yummiest in summer, making these perfect for Fourth of July bashes or quick desserts when guests drop by. Even though summer doesn't last forever, our local grocery stores do a great job of stocking fresh berries year-round, so don't hesitate to try these any time!
For all you kitchen-curious home chefs out there, here's a quick tip about adding coconut oil to the melted chocolate. It improves the overall consistency, making it easier to apply a thin, uniform layer of chocolate to the strawberries, resulting in a beautiful, glossy finish. I typically use unrefined coconut oil for its nutrients, but any type works. The main difference is that refined coconut oil stays liquid at room temperature.
Now, get to dipping and have fun with these treats!
