Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ lb. bittersweet chocolate
- ½ lb. semisweet chocolate
- 2 TBSP orange flavored liqueur, optional
- 1 TBSP prepared coffee
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Confectioner’s sugar
- Cocoa powder
- 2 tsp s.a.l.t. sisters Sel Gris Organic French Sea Salt
Directions:
- Heat the cream in a small saucepan until it just boils. Turn off the heat and let the cream sit for 20 seconds.
- Pour the hot cream through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl containing the bittersweet and semisweet chocolates. Using a wire whisk, slowly stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Whisk in the optional orange flavored liqueur, coffee, and vanilla extract. Set aside at room temperature for 1 hour to cool and firm up.
- Using two teaspoons, spoon rounded balls of the chocolate mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roll each ball in your hands to roughly shape it into a round truffle.
- Roll the truffles in confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, or a mixture of both. Sprinkle with Sel Gris Organic French Sea Salt.
- These truffles can be refrigerated for several weeks, but serve them at room temperature for the best flavor and texture.
