The seasoning packets on their own make an excellent host/hostess gift, especailly when paired with a bottle of wine, or you can whip up the cheeseball recipe on the back and bring along to a party or serve at your own get-together. Uses:  Follow the recipe on the back of the packet to make one cheeseball. Roll in chopped fresh parsley for a nut-free option. Serve with crackers or veggies. Flavor profile: sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and herbs provide rich flavor reminiscent of bruschetta.

Recipe

CHARMANE’S BRUSCHETTA CHEESEBALL

MAKES 1 BALL


8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 TBS mayonnaise
1 cup Italian Blend shredded cheese
2 heaping TBS green onion, sliced
2 heaping TBS bell pepper, finely chopped
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2/3 cup pecans, finely chopped


Place the prepared pecans on a plate and distribute evenly.
In a large bowl add cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian cheese, green onion, bell
pepper, Worcestershire sauce & cheeseball seasoning packet. Mash ingredients
together using a rubber spatula. Scrape the sides of the bowl gathering the mixture
into one lump. Using your hands, form the mixture into a round ball. Place the
cheeseball on the plate of pecans. Using clean hands, gently roll the cheeseball around
in the pecans coating it completely. Wrap cheeseball in cling wrap and refrigerate for
at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
